A muse stood in a forest small of birch trees peeling, white and tall
She dreamed of Fae she'd never seen closed her eyes then heard "Nadine..." a tiny whisper, yet she heard Her name "Nadine", that single word
Her eyes flashed open, her cheeks flushed her breath left in a flowing rush For what she saw before her eyes She'd wished for her entire life
A smiling fairie twinkled there Kissed her cheek and touched her hair "Nadine, we've always been with you for you've important work to do To be James' muse for all your life, his best friend and his loving wife... All the Fae praise to you sing For you're the wind beneath James' wings."

This painting was commissioned by The Women's Resource Center in January of 2003. The original watercolor is 10 x 16. Of course the subject is of my beautiful muse, Nadine.
